Preface
I am Yoshi Mei Oberwetter, I have been a creative individual for as long as I could pick up a pencil.
I am a traditional artist with an education in engineering. I am an ambitious thinker, problem-solver, and storyteller that utilizes the arts and engineering to imagine new ways to bring wonder and imagination into a world that would be lifeless without it.
About Me
I am a college student majoring in manufacturing engineering, with a concentration in LEAN manufacturing and a minor in marketing.
I like to spend my free-time collecting and customizing toys, painting, building dioramas, and designing animatronic characters, while also making documenting my projects on YouTube. I consider myself a "jack of all trades", as I am a curious individual with a lot of ambition and dreams. I am not afraid to dive head first into something I may not know how to do yet, it's an opportunity to learn.
I am described by those around me as, "someone who does not just 'talk-the-talk', but rather someone who actually does what they put their mind to".
I am always willing to broaden my horizons, in order to achieve the goals I set for myself. There is no such thing as no longer needing to learn anymore.
The only limit to a person's capabilities, is themselves.
Career Goals and Aspirations
I have many "dream jobs" that I would love to pursue in my lifetime.
I have wanted to be a Disney Imagineer, a special effects artist, and a toy designer. I am interested in career paths that can challenge me artistically and analytically.
As of now, I have landed myself one of my many "dream jobs", this one being a toy designer at my favorite toy company. I could not be more happy to have achieved this goal of mine right out of school; I have worked very hard to make it happen. It has been a dream of mine for 7 years now.
